Shipping policy
Where the House ships
At launch the House ships within the United Arab Emirates and across the Gulf Cooperation Council. International delivery is available to selected destinations where it can be completed safely and reliably; write to Client Services and the House will tell you before you commit to anything.
The House may refuse a destination where insurance is unavailable, where customs treatment is unacceptable, where sanctions or local import restrictions apply, where the carrier will not accept the object, or where the transaction cannot be completed safely. If the House refuses after an order is placed, the order is cancelled and refunded in full.
Carriers
| Destination | Carrier |
|---|---|
| United Arab Emirates | A tracked, insured, signature-required courier service selected for the object |
| Gulf Cooperation Council | Aramex as standard; DHL Express where value, fragility, insurance or service level requires it |
| Rest of world | DHL Express. Some destinations are arranged individually through Client Services |
The carrier for a particular order is named in the dispatch confirmation, with its tracking reference.
Delivery charges
Shipping is calculated for each object individually based on its value, destination and handling requirements. An object page shows the delivery charge that applies to that object before checkout. Some objects include delivery in the price; others show it separately.
How objects travel
Every object is shipped insured for its full value, with signature on delivery. High-value objects additionally carry the controls the House judges necessary, which may include recipient identity verification, tamper-evident packaging, a named carrier only, and a manual review before dispatch.
Outer packaging is discreet and unbranded. Nothing on the outside of a parcel states what is inside or names the House.
Import duties and taxes
For deliveries outside the United Arab Emirates, the destination country may charge import duties, taxes or clearance fees. Where the carrier supports Delivered Duty Paid, the House pays those charges in advance and the price you agree at checkout is the price you pay. Where a destination does not support it, the checkout says so clearly before payment, and the charges are payable by you on delivery. In that case the amount is set by the destination authority, not by the House, and the House cannot quote it precisely in advance.
Timing
The House dispatches within two working days of a cleared payment, and sends tracking when the object leaves. An individual object may show a longer dispatch estimate on its own page where its preparation requires it, and that estimate takes precedence for that object. Carrier transit times are estimates from the carrier, not promises by the House.
The House does not dispatch before payment has cleared. For a bank transfer, that means funds received, not a transfer initiated.
Collection in person
Collection in person is not offered. Every object is delivered by carrier.
Failed delivery and address changes
An address can be corrected before dispatch by writing to support@covahouse.com. After dispatch, the carrier's rules apply. If a delivery fails and the object returns to the House, the House contacts the buyer to arrange redelivery, and a second delivery charge may apply.
Problems
Report damage or a discrepancy to support@covahouse.com within forty-eight hours of delivery, with photographs of the object, of the outer packaging before it is discarded, and of the shipping label where it is still available. The House manages the carrier claim on your behalf. Damage and objects that are not as described are then handled under the refund policy.
