Cova House is a collectors' house based in the United Arab Emirates. It holds few objects at a time and takes responsibility for each one.

The House values quality over quantity. We would rather offer a few exceptional objects than many ordinary ones.

How the House works

Every object is examined before it is offered. The House records what it finds, including flaws, and keeps the evidence behind each claim it makes. An object page carries its condition, what is known of its provenance, and the House's own view, kept clearly separate from fact.

Objects are offered in two ways. Most are available to buy directly, at a price shown in dirhams. A few are offered on request, handled by Client Services, with terms agreed in writing before any payment.

The House Standard

The House Standard is the set of checks an object passes before it is offered.

• Examined. Physically inspected, photographed as it is, and described as it is.
• Documented. Condition, including any flaw, recorded and disclosed on the object page.
• Evidenced. Provenance described only as far as the House can support it, without naming previous owners.
• Guaranteed where the category allows. Qualifying objects carry a twelve-month authenticity guarantee. The object page says whether an object qualifies.
• Passported where the object qualifies. Selected objects are issued an Object Passport recording the object and its evidence.

What the House will not do

It will not invent provenance, conceal damage, publish a photograph of an object it does not hold, or suggest what an object will be worth later. It will not name a seller or a buyer.
